Glasgow, July 31 -- Harsh Singh etched his name into Indian sporting history by becoming the country's first male judoka to win a Commonwealth Games gold medal, completing a dream day for Indian judo after Asmita Dey's trailblazing triumph earlier on Friday.
The 22-year-old produced a commanding display to crush Australia's Katz 10-0 in the men's 60kg final at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SEC), sealing the contest in regulation time and delivering India its second judo gold of the Glasgow Games.
Harsh's victory came just hours after Asmita Dey became the first Indian judoka female to win Commonwealth Games gold, making Friday the most successful day in India's judo history.
