New Delhi, July 29 -- From cutting cattle fodder to lifting a second Commonwealth Games medal, Harjinder Kaur's remarkable journey reached another high on Tuesday as the Indian weightlifter clinched the silver medal in the women's 69kg event at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
Four years after winning bronze in the 71kg category at the Birmingham Games, Harjinder returned to the Commonwealth stage and upgraded the colour of her medal with one of thefinest performances of her career.
The 29-year-old finished with a total lift of 227kg, successfully lifting 101kg in the snatch and 126kg in the clean and jerk.
