New Delhi, Oct. 26 -- Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha Harivansh on Monday called on parliaments to remain responsive, dynamic and future-ready to meet emerging global challenges, as he delivered the welcome address at the inaugural session of the 12th BRICS Parliamentary Forum in the historic Central Hall of Parliament in New Delhi.
Describing BRICS as an effective multilateral platform representing around 49.5 per cent of the global population, Harivansh said the grouping had strengthened consultation and cooperation on issues of regional and global importance.
