Thiruvananthapuram, Aug. 7 -- Kudumbashree's Haritha Karma Sena has achieved a significant milestone in Kerala's campaign to make the state waste-free by collecting 86,295.723 metric tonnes (MT) of non-biodegradable waste during the 2025-26 financial year, marking the highest annual collection so far.
The collection exceeded the 50,190 MT gathered in 2024-25 by 36,106.723 MT, reflecting the rapid expansion and effectiveness of Kerala's decentralized waste management system.
