Davanagere, April 6 -- Senior Congress leader and MLC BK Hariprasad on Monday opposed any move to reduce parliamentary representation of southern states under the proposed delimitation exercise, alleging that the BJP was attempting to alter the balance of seats to the region's disadvantage.
Speaking to reporters, Hariprasad, who is also in-charge of Haryana Congress, said delimitation should be carried out strictly on the basis of the latest census, but warned against any attempt to curtail seats in southern India.
