Bengaluru/New Delhi, Oct. 12 -- Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president BK Hariprasad on Monday questioned the role of Chief Justice of India Surya Kant, saying he should not behave like a BJP member but uphold his constitutional responsibility to ensure justice for every citizen, as the INDIA bloc intensified its protest against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
The sharp remarks came ahead of the Opposition's proposed march towards the Supreme Court after the CJI declined a request for a meeting with INDIA bloc leaders and advised them to approach the court through the prescribed legal process.
