Bengaluru, June 27 -- Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President B K Hariprasad on Saturday challenged the BJP to account for every rupee donated by devotees for the Ram Mandir, alleging that the party was avoiding public scrutiny over the utilisation of funds collected in the name of Lord Ram.

In a Facebook post, Hariprasad said BJP leaders, who had sought votes invoking Lord Ram, must now explain how donations received for the temple had been spent.

"Those who used Lord Ram's name for political gains should have the courage to account for every rupee donated by the people," he said.
