Yokohama (Japan), Aug. 9 -- Japanese siblings Miwa and Tomokazu Harimoto claimed the women's and men's singles titles, respectively, at the 2025 World Table Tennis (WTT) Champions Yokohama on Sunday.

World No. 3 Miwa Harimoto ended Chen Xingtong's title defense with a 4-2 victory in the women's final. Harimoto edged a tight opening game 13-11 before taking the second 11-7.

Chen responded by winning the third 11-9, but the Japanese top seed held firm in anotherclose game to take the fourth 11-9.

Chen raced through the fifth 11-1 to keep her hopes alive before Harimoto regained her composure and closed out the match 11-7 in the sixth, according to Xinhua.
