Chandigarh, Aug. 11 -- Former India cricketer and Rajya Sabha MP Harbhajan Singh has asked union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to extend key train services beyond Amb Andaura in Himachal Pradesh to Tartoli in Hoshiarpur district of Punjab.
Singh said he raised the request during a meeting with Vaishnaw, seeking changes that would allow trains serving major religious destinations and Delhi to begin their journeys from the Punjab side.
Among the services he mentioned were trains connecting the region with Haridwar, Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib and the national capital.
