Kaithal, May 23 -- On the instructions of SP Manpreet Singh Sudan, the district police have arrested a man on charge of allegedlycheating the common people of lakhs of rupees on the pretext of sending them abroad.
Police arrested accused Jagjit Singh, a resident of Dana Mandi, Ludhiana, in a case of cheating people of lakhs of rupees on the false promise of sending them to England and Australia.
A police spokesperson said that according to a complaint filed by Gurudev Singh, a resident of Ser village, Kaithal district, Pyara Singh, who used to come to his village to sell cloth, told his father that his nephew and his acquaintances were involved in the business of sending people abroad.
