New Delhi, Aug. 2 -- The second edition of the Handloom Hackathon 2.0 concluded on Saturday at the Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer (FITT) at IIT Delhi, with government officials highlighting the role of technology in addressing challenges faced by India's handloom sector.
Organised by FITT, IIT Delhi in collaboration with the Ministry of Textiles, the hackathon attracted more than 2,500 participants.
Officials said that during the competition, around 280 participants from the top 100 shortlisted teams presented technology-based solutions focused on loom modernisation, design innovation, sustainability, market access and improving weaver livelihoods.
