Berlin, Aug. 25 -- Hamburg announced the signing of Nigeria international Terem Moffi from French Ligue 1 side Nice on Monday, adding the center forward as its seventh new arrival of the summer.
The 27-year-old completed his medical over the weekend before signing a contract of undisclosed length.
Moffi will wear the No. 9 shirt. Moffi said talks with Hamburg's coach, the club's management and its supporters helped convince him to move to Germany.
"Even though HSV spent a few years in the second division, the club is still a big name all over the world," he said.
"When I told my father about the interest, he immediately knew which club it was and was full of excitement." The striker said he was eager to contribute beyond goals.
