Varanasi, July 14 -- In keeping with the Supreme Court's direction, the hearing in the Gyanvapi-Sringar Gauri case was held before Judge Mukul Pandey at the Varanasi District Court's mediation centre on Tuesday, but failed to reach any conclusion.
After the Muslim side, the Anjuman Intezamia Masjid Committee, refused to have the dispute resolved through mediation, the Hindu side too expressed its disagreement with the process.
Madan Mohan Yadav, the Hindu side's lawyer, stated that the Muslim side stated at the mediation centre that the matter is subjudice and therefore mediation is not mandatory for them.
