Patna, Nov. 14 -- Congress leader Pawan Khera on Friday expressed concern over the Bihar Assembly election results, alleging that Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar appears to be gaining an upper hand over the people of Bihar.

Calling it a direct confrontation, Khera said, "As I said, the initial trends themselves show that Gyanesh Kumar appears to be succeeding against the people of Bihar. This fight is not between the BJP, Congress, RJD, and JD(U). This is a direct fight between Gyanesh Kumar and the people of India."The senior Congress leader's remarks underline the party's apprehension regarding the early vote count, framing the election as a larger battle between citizens' interests and individual political influence.
