Tehran/Washington, July 18 -- Gulf states are watching with growing concern the intensifying conflict between the US and Iran, as a sustained cycle of strikes and retaliatory attacks have increasingly raised fears of a wider regional war.

Regional tensions have been further complicated by escalating tensions between Saudi Arabia and the Iran-backed Houthi movement in Yemen, which has vowed to break the blockade imposed against it.
