New Delhi, Aug. 23 -- Financial confidence among Indian consumers has strengthened amid GST reforms, greater access to affordable credit and rising adoption of digital financial tools, according to the fourth edition of Home Credit India's annual The Great Indian Wallet 2026 study.
The report, themed 'From Tax Relief to Tangible Choices - How India's Wallets Are Being Reshaped', found that the Financial Well-Being Index rose to 40 points in 2026, up from 34 points last year and the highest level recorded since the study began in 2023.
