Hyderabad, Dec. 28 -- Former Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu on Sunday described the Goods and Services Tax (GST) reforms as a watershed moment in India's economic journey, saying they have laid a strong foundation for transformational change in the country.

Naidu was speaking after receiving a book on GST reforms from Vakulabharanam Krishnamohan Rao, former Chairman of the Telangana State Backward Classes Commission, at his residence in Hyderabad.

Congratulating the author, Naidu said the book provides a comprehensive assessment of GST by integrating perspectives of social justice, economic equity and development.
