Sriharikota, Sept. 4 -- Marking a significant moment and in its first mission in seven months, India's heavy lift rocket GSLV-F17, successfully injected the advanced Earth Observation Satellite EOS-05 in the intended orbit, amid rains, early on Friday morning.
After a smooth 27.5 hr countdown and after a perfect lift off off at 0255 hrs from the all weather proof Second Launch Pad from the SHAR Range here, lighting up the dark early morning skies, the rocket placed the satellite in the orbit after a flight duration of about19 minutes.
"Mission Success! GSLV-F17 has successfully accomplished its mission, placing EOS-05 into the intended orbit", ISRO said in a social media post.
