New Delhi, Sept. 1 -- Goods and Services Tax (GST) gross collections in August 2025 rose to Rs 1,86,315 crore, recording a 6.5 per cent increase over Rs 1,74,962 crore collected in the same month last year as per the data shared by the Ministry of Finance.
Net GST revenue after refunds in August stood at Rs 1,66,956 crore, marking a sharper 10.7 per cent rise compared to Rs 1,50,791 crore in the same month last year.
According to official data, the cumulative gross GST collection for April-August 2025 reached Rs 10,04,414 crore, compared to Rs 9,13,855 crore in the corresponding period of 2024, reflecting a robust 9.9 per cent year-on-year growth.
