Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 27 -- Justin Greaves' maiden ODI hundred and Amir Jangoo's late fireworks lifted West Indies to a challenging 295 for seven against India in the opening ODI at the Greenfield International Stadium here on Sunday.
What began as a blistering West Indies assault turned into a gripping recovery after India's wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav threatened to rip the innings apart.
Asked to bat first, West Indies raced away in the afternoon sunshine, with Greaves and John Campbell launching an assault that yielded 85 runs in the opening 10 overs. The pair added 135 for the first wicket before Kuldeep finally broke the stand.
