London, Sept. 20 -- Great Britain have reached the Davis Cup Finals for the first time since 2023 after sealing a 4-0 win in their qualifying tie against Ecuador.
Henry Patten and Neal Skupski booked Britain's ticket to November's 'Final 8' event in Bologna with a 6-3 6-4 win over Gonzalo Escobar and Diego Hidalgo in the doubles at London's Copper Box Arena.
That gave Britain an unassailable 3-0 lead after wins on Saturday for Toby Samuel and Arthur Fery in the singles, before Harry Wendelken, a late call-up to the team after Cameron Norrie withdrew injured on Friday, wrapped up the best-of-five tie by beating Angel Veliz 6-2 6-3 on his competition debut, according to BBC Sport.
