Hyderabad, Sept. 1 -- Telangana Minister for Panchayat Raj, Rural Development and Women & Child Welfare Danasari Anasuya Seethakka on Tuesday assured the family of Uke Shirisha, the Adivasi nurse who was allegedly raped and murdered in Tukkuguda recently, that the government would extend all possible support and ensure severe punishment for the accused.

Seethakka visited Shirisha's native Choutigudem village in Mulakalapalli mandal of Bhadradri Kothagudem district, accompanied by local MLA Jare Adinarayana and Telangana State Women's Commission member Nunavath Radhabai. She consoled Shirisha's mother and family members and paid tributes to the deceased.
