New Delhi, July 1 -- union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda on Wednesday said the Centre will offer support for more handheld X-ray machines integrated with Artificial Intelligence (AI) to facilitate early diagnosis of Tuberculosis and improve case detection.
During a review meeting in Delhi, he noted that the decision to expand testing support is crucial as India still accounts for over a quarter of the global TB burden, with an estimated 2.7 to 2.8 million new cases occurring annually.
