Imphal, July 26 -- Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Sunday inaugurated the Library Building of Heirangoithong High School, Imphal.
Addressing the gathering the Chief Minister stated that the Government schools in the State have witnessed significant improvement over the past five to six years.
He recalled that when he was first elected as the Member of the Legislative Assembly from the Singjamei Assembly Constituency, Singjamei Chingamakha High School had very few students.
However, the school now has an enrolment of more than 200 students. He further noted that of the 15 students of the school who appeared for the State board examinations, 12 secured first division, reflecting the steady improvement.
