Chandigarh, June 1 -- A government school teacher was brutally murdered in broad daylight in Punjab's Amritsar district on Monday, with unidentified assailants allegedly attacking him with sharp-edged weapons while he was returning home after dropping his daughter off for tuition classes.
The victim, identified as Jagdeep Singh, a resident of Talwandi village near Malowal, was found lying face down near the Narayangarh drain in the Jandiala Guru area. Police said he had suffered multiple grievous injuries to the head and neck, leading to his death on the spot.
