Kolhapur, June 15 -- Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarange-Patil on Monday urged the Devendra Fadnavis government in Mahrashtra to recognize the historical gazettes of Bombay, Satara, Kolhapur, Miraj, Aundh and Pune as valid records for extending reservation benefits to the Maratha community.

Speaking to reporters after meeting Congress MP Shrimant Shahu Chhatrapati at the New Palace in Kolhapur, Jarange-Patil said that while the Hyderabad and Satara gazettes are already being considered in the reservation process, records from Kolhapur and other regions should also be included.
