New Delhi, March 30 -- The Government on Monday said adequate supplies of petrol, diesel, LPG, and natural gas are being maintained across the country, even as it continues to monitor developments in West Asia, including the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

At a media briefing held at the National Media Centre, officials from the Ministries of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Ports, Shipping and Waterways, and External Affairs outlined measures taken to ensure energy security, smooth maritime operations, and public stability.

Officials said all refineries are operating at high capacity with sufficient crude inventories, while stocks of petrol and diesel remain adequate nationwide. Retail fuel outlets are functioning normally.
