Mumbai, May 18 -- In a significant development in the shocking Badlapur school assault case, the state government has officially undertaken the responsibility of financing the education of the two minor survivors.
Breaking a long administrative lull, the government has approved the funding for their school fees up to Class 10.
The decision comes after the father of one of the survivors took to social media to allege that despite public assurances from the then-Education Minister, the government had failed to pay the school fees. Following his post, and after a delay of nearly two years, the government has finally stepped in to secure the girls' educational future.
