Medininagar (Jharkhand), May 5 -- Jharkhand's rural development and panchayati raj minister Dipika Pandey Singh on Tuesday said the state is studying other states to revise honorarium for mukhia representatives.
Addressing a divisional-level mukhia conference at Gandhi Smriti Town Hall in Medininagar, Singh said the department agrees that the honorarium should be "respectable" and a decision may be taken after comparative assessment.
The conference, attended by representatives from Palamu, Garhwa and Latehar districts, was inaugurated by Dipika Pandey Singh along with finance minister Radha Krishna Kishore and Manika MLA Ramchandra Singh. Selected mukhia representatives were felicitated for their work.
