New Delhi, April 13 -- The government has backed an aerospace startup to develop aircraft and drones that can take off quickly without the need for long runways, according to a statement from the Ministry of Science and Technology on Monday.
In order to develop and test the technology, the Technology Development Board (TDB) under the Department of Science and Technology has signed an agreement with Gurugram-based Casey Aviation Private Limited.
Officials said the technology could help improve regional connectivity and support disaster response, medical evacuation, unmanned logistics, and surveillance operations, especially in remote and hard-to-reach areas.
