Ranchi, April 22 -- Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar has directed a state-wide review of cases related to missing minor girls and asked police to expedite investigations, officials said on Wednesday.

Acting on the Governor's instructions, Additional Chief Secretary to Governor Nitin Kulkarni has written to the Director General of Police, highlighting recent reports of rising cases of missing minor girls across the state.

The communication noted that in several instances, delay in timely action by local police had led to serious and adverse consequences. The Governor expressed concern over such cases and the functioning of the police in handling them.
