Bengaluru, May 28 -- Political developments in Karnataka on Thursday were marked by procedural uncertainty, as attention centred on the absence of Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot from Bengaluru amid heightened political activity in the state.
According to official sources, the Governor had left the state capital late Wednesday night for Indore due to a family emergency, with no confirmed schedule for his return. His absence comes at a time when key administrative and constitutional interactions were expected at Raj Bhavan.
Sources also indicated that the office of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had reportedly sought an appointment with the Governor prior to his departure, but the meeting could not take place due to his unavailability.
