Vijayawada, June 5 -- : Governor of Andhra Pradesh S Abdul Nazeer has planted a strawberry guava (Psidium cattleianum) sapling in Lok Bhavan lawns here on Friday on the occasion of World Environment Day.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Abdul Nazeer said that this year the World Environment Day is being celebrated with the theme 'Inspired by Nature'.
The Governor said that the primary focus is on accelerating climate action to mitigate rising global temperatures, extreme weather conditions, and the rapid degradation of ecosystems.
