Imphal, May 29 -- Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla on Thursday presented the prestigious Manipur State Film Awards Lifetime Achievement Award to Ngangbam Swarnajit Singh in recognition of his pioneering role as Manipur's first professional artist in cinema.
He presided over the award presentation ceremony of the 16th MSFA, 2024 Edition, at the Palace Auditorium of the Manipur State Film Development Society (MSFDS), Imphal.
The Governor also distributed awards across non-feature and feature film categories to the respective winners.
Organised by the MSFDS, the MSFA is the highest state honour in Manipuri cinema, celebrating excellence, creativity and outstanding contributions to the film industry.
