Midnapore, June 3 -- Invoking the ideals of education, knowledge and progress that define the legacy of Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar, West Bengal Governor R.N. Ravi on Wednesday urged universities to scale up innovation, research output and patent generation to help realise the national vision of a "Viksit Bharat" by 2047.
Vidyasagar University celebrated its largest-ever convocation by conferring a record 89,158 degrees, diplomas, medals and awards.
