Kolkata, Nov. 23 -- West Bengal Governor C V Ananda Bose on Sunday said he would soon visit the India-Bangladesh border to personally assess the situation, as large numbers of people, alleged to have infiltrated from Bangladesh and residing in the state for years, were seen attempting to return to their country amid the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

Speaking to the media on the third anniversary of his tenure as Governor, Bose said, "I cannot say anything on the border situation unless I personally assess it.
