Bengaluru, Aug. 14 -- Karnataka Governor has asked the State Government to examine whether around 6,757 acres of government land linked to the BMIC-NICE project can be recovered and used for the proposed Greater Bengaluru Integrated Township (GBIT)-Bidadi project.
In a notice to the government, the Governor has sought to know whether steps have been taken to cancel the BMIC-NICE project and recover the government land, following recent directions of the Karnataka High Court.
The notice says that out of the government land originally given for the NICE project, only around 376 acres was actually used for the Peripheral Road, Link Road and related infrastructure.
