Nagpur, Nov. 10 -- The much-anticipated winter chill has finally descended on Vidarbha, with Gondia recording a minimum temperature of 10.4degC, marking the coldest morning of the season so far.
In eastern Vidarbha, Gondia emerged as the coldest spot, followed by Nagpur, which registered 12.2degC. The cool spell, arriving later than usual, has now spread across the region, signalling the true onset of winter.
Typically, Nagpur experiences a drop in temperatures by late October. However, this year's seasonal shift was delayed due to changing weather patterns, cyclonic activity-particularly Cyclone 'Montha'-and other atmospheric disturbances.
