Ratnagiri, April 26 -- A major industrial development is on the horizon for the Ratnagiri district, where Goa Shipyard Limited, a prominent company under India's Ministry of Defence, is set to establish an ambitious project worth approximately Rs 2,500 crore at Lavgan, near Jaigad.

The project aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's flagship initiatives, Atmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India, aiming to strengthen domestic manufacturing and defence capabilities. The state-of-the-art facility will be developed across nearly 100 acres of land, which has already been identified and made available.
