Mumbai, June 1 -- Voice AI company Gnani.ai has released State of ASR Models in India 2026, describing it as the country's first industry report focused on evaluating how Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) models perform in real-world Indian voice environments.

The study highlights significant gaps between benchmark results and actual deployment conditions, particularly across Indic languages and multilingual use cases.

According to the report, organisations and developers continue to face substantial challenges when deploying speech recognition systems in production environments.
