Nagpur, July 8 -- : GMR Airports Limited on Wednesday announced an ambitious multi-stage redevelopment plan for Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, aimed at positioning Nagpur as a prominent aviation, cargo and logistics hub with an ultimate passenger handling capacity of 30 million annually.
The initial phase of the expansion programme will focus on upgrading and enlarging the existing passenger terminal to cater to nearly three million passengers per year.
The phase will also include improvement of passenger facilities, enhanced operational efficiency and modernisation of airport services.
