Nagpur, Aug. 5 -- : Healthcare services at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) and IGGMCH Nagpur, were hit on Wednesday as resident doctors began an indefinite strike after negotiations with the Maharashtra government over their long-pending demands failed to reach a resolution.
Under the banner of the Central Maharashtra Association of Resident Doctors (MARD), the doctors staged a sit-in protest outside the hospital's Outpatient Department (OPD), alleging that the government had failed to address their legitimate demands despite several rounds of discussions.
