Riyadh/New Delhi, Sept. 11 -- Global labour markets are undergoing a structural shift from traditional employment models towards a "capability economy" centred on verified skills and human capabilities, a new research paper by Takamol Holding said on Friday here.
The study, titled "Policy Priorities for the Global Labour Market Transition to the Capability Economy", outlines an integrated policy framework for governments and policymakers to respond to rapid advances in artificial intelligence, digital transformation and evolving workforce models.
The paper notes that more than 2 billion workers, or about 58 per cent of the global workforce, were engaged in informal employment in 2024.
