New Delhi, April 16 -- US-born German emerging markets fund manager and founder of Mobius Capital Partners LLP, Joseph Bernhard Mark Mobius, passed away in Singapore at the age of 89 on April 15, a LinkedIn post confirmed.
The cause of his death isn't disclosed.
Widely regarded as a pioneer of emerging market investing, Mobius played a defining role in channeling global capital into developing economies at a time when such markets were considered high-risk and largely untapped.
