New Delhi, Sept. 4 -- Former Pakistan head coach Jason Gillespie has questioned chief selector Aaqib Javed's handling of the team, saying the players still on the England tour arenow operating in an atmosphere of fear after a sweeping overhaul of the squad and coachingstaff.
Pakistan made major changes after losing the first two Tests against England at Headingley and Lord's. Head coach Sarfaraz Ahmed and bowling coach Umar Gul were replaced, while seven players, including Mohammad Rizwan, Imam-ul-Haq and Salman Ali Agha, were sent home.
Gillespie, who coached Pakistan in 2024 and was in charge when they beat England 2-1 in a Test series, said the latest decisions reflected a lack of consistency in the selection process.
