Cardiff, July 16 -- India captain Shubman Gill said his side would have bowled first as well after England won the toss and elected to field in the second ODI at Cardiff on Thursday.

Gill, who returned to familiar territory after his stint with Glamorgan, said India were pleased with their comprehensive performance in the previous match and hoped to carry the momentum forward.

"Doing well, and yes, very happy and very pleased we had a near-perfect game last game. Hopefully we're going to have another good game," Gill said at the toss.

Reflecting on India's bowling effort in the opening ODI, Gill praised the team's comeback after England applied pressure during the powerplay.
