Hyderabad, Jan. 7 -- The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Wednesday conducted a comprehensive orientation programme on health and sanitation for newly appointed Zonal Commissioners and Assistant and Deputy Executive Engineers at its head office.

The programme aimed to familiarise officials with the city's public health systems, sanitation infrastructure and flagship initiatives. Senior officials from solid waste management, public health, veterinary, entomology and engineering wings participated, along with representatives of concessionaires, waste operators and EPTRI.

Officials were briefed on GHMC's sanitation operations spread across 2,053 sq km, serving a population of 1.34 crore in Hyderabad. The city generates aroun...
