Riyadh, June 6 -- The head of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) today issued a scathing condemnation of Iran's missile attacks on Kuwait and Bahrain, calling them as "a serious threat to regional security and stability".
In a statement issued here, GCC Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi sharply denounced the strikes as a dangerous escalation and accused Tehran of violating international norms.
"These treacherous Iranian terrorist acts represent a dangerous and irresponsible escalation, a blatant violation of all international laws and norms, and a direct threat to regional stability," Albudaiwi said.
