Chennai, June 25 -- The toll in the Sunday's Ammonia gas leak tragedy at a private seafood processing and export unit in Tiruvallur district of Tamil Nadu rose to 12 on Thursday with two more affected women succumbing at the government hospital, even as 66 others affected were undergoing treatment at hospitals.
While one of the victim succumbed in the morning, the other woman breathed her last at the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital in the afternoon.
All the deceased were women, with 10 of them hailing from Odisha and two from Assam.
Health department officials said of the total 66 under treatment,15 are on ventilator support, 21 are on oxygen assistance, and 30 are reported to be in stable condition. Five workers have been disch...
