Chennai, June 25 -- The toll in the Sunday's Ammonia gas leak tragedy at a private seafood processing and export unit in Tiruvallur district of Tamil Nadu rose to 11 on Thursday with one more affected woman hailing from Odisha--succumbing at the government hospital, even as 67 others affected were undergoing treatment at hospitals.
All the deceased were women, with eight of them hailing from Odisha and two from Assam.
Health department officials said of the total 67 under treatment,16 are on ventilator support, 21 are on oxygen assistance, and 30 are reported to be in stable condition. Five workers have been discharged so far.
